A photographic essay is a series of images that work together to tell a story or convey a particular theme or message. Unlike a single photograph, which captures one moment, a photographic essay presents multiple photos arranged in a sequence to evoke emotions, explore a concept, or highlight an event. The topic of this essay: street fashion. To achieve this, there is a focus on documenting the unique styles and personalities of people in city streets, markets, or cultural hubs. Attention to details such as clothing, accessories, and how individuals express their identity through style play an important role.

Several obstacles arose during the capturing process. Unpredictability: Street fashion is spontaneous, and you may not always encounter subjects with interesting or unique styles. Timing and location are key, but even then, it’s hard to control what you’ll find. Lighting Conditions: Outdoor environments can have varying light conditions due to time of day, weather, or shadows from buildings, which can affect the quality of your photos. Capturing Authenticity: Street photography aims to capture candid moments, but balancing natural shots without disturbing the subjects or altering the scene can be tricky. Distractions in the Background: Urban environments are often busy and chaotic, and finding the right angle without distracting elements in the background (like cars, pedestrians, or street signs) can be difficult. Safety and Comfort: In certain locations, photographing people may pose safety concerns, whether it’s navigating crowds, dealing with public reactions, or managing expensive equipment in unpredictable environments.
